Wasting food is not only an ethical and economic issue but it also depletes the environment of limited natural resources. Using unavoidable biomass and waste as a resource is therefore key to achieve a sustainable food system that is fit for the future, in line with the ambition of Food 2030.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>This WG meeting focuses on the valorisation of food waste and aims to showcase innovative examples of how regions and cities around Europe are considering food waste as a resource and using it to create new opportunities for their actors.
