Sven Kastö

Sven has been on the journey as head of office since the office started its operations in 2010. He is passionate about making EU policy a natural part of the work on a regional level and that Småland Blekinge Halland South Sweden’s owners should benefit as much as possible from the EU arena. Previously, Sven has worked as a consultant in a number of areas; pharmaceuticals, skills development, paper and pulp, and export consultancy.

Alongside thematic work, Sven currently works with:

  • Collaboration between the owners within Småland Blekinge Halland South Sweden
  • Advising on lobbying
  • Preparations for how EU-policy affect the regional level long-term

Sandra Jansson

EU Policy Officer

Sandra has been working at the Småland Blekinge Halland South Sweden since the end of 2021. Besides supporting the regions and university within SBHSS in the areas below, she wants to advance cooperation between SBHSS and other European actors. Cooperation, she believes, is one of the keystones to benefit from the opportunities provided by the EU and to jointly be able to lift the regional perspectives within the EU for greater impact. She has previous experience in the EU context from the Nordic Trade Union Confederation, the Trade Union Brussels Office and with a master’s degree in Political Science.

 

Within Småland Blekinge Halland South Sweden, she mainly supports the members in the following areas:

  • Labour market & Skills
  • Tourism
  • Cultural & Creative sector

Martin Broberg

Martin joined the SBHSS´Brussels Office in January 2022 and wants to work for an increased regional engagement in European policy and to support interregional cooperation.

Martin has previously worked as a Political Adviser at the European Parliament as well as an EU Policy Officer at the Committee on Foreign Affairs at the Swedish Parliament in Stockholm.
